At Friends of Downe School, we’re a friendly and enthusiastic Parent Teacher Association (PTA) dedicated to enriching the school experience for all our children. Whether you’re a new or existing parent, we invite you to get involved, have fun, and help us make a difference!

By working closely with teachers and staff, we support Downe School through fundraising, events, and community-building activities that benefit every student.

How Do We Raise Money?

We run a variety of events and initiatives throughout the year to raise vital funds that directly enhance the school experience. Here’s how we do it:

🎉 Non-Uniform Days

We love a dress-down day! Throughout the year, students get the chance to swap their uniforms for their favorite outfits in return for a small donation. These days are hugely popular with the children and parents alike and raise much-needed funds for school projects.

🎄 Christmas Fair

Our magical annual Christmas Fair is the highlight of the year. With stalls, games, festive treats, and even a visit from Santa Claus himself, it’s a fantastic event for families to enjoy. All proceeds go towards equipment, activities, and resources for the school.

🍬 Tuck Shops

Who doesn’t love a treat? Our regular tuck shops provide delicious snacks after school and during special events. From sweets to healthy options, there’s something for everyone—and every purchase supports the PTA’s fundraising goals!
