Welcome to Maple Class!

Welcome to Maple!

Maple Class is our Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) designed to support children with Special Educational Needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC). We provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where each child’s individual needs are met through a personalised learning plan, tailored to the targets outlined in their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Our approach follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, with an emphasis on play-based learning, allowing children to explore and develop at their own pace. The class is led by Miss Townsend, supported by two dedicated Teaching Assistants, Miss Baxter and Ms Dickson. Together, we work to foster a supportive, stimulating and enriching environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

The School Day

In Maple Class, the children follow a structured timetable that helps establish a clear routine, providing them with a sense of security and an understanding of what happens next. This consistency supports their social, emotional, and academic development. Throughout the day, there are opportunities for children to engage with their peers in the wider school, including joining the Reception class for continuous learning sessions and participating in Forest School, PE lessons, and outdoor play. These interactions offer valuable experiences that promote social integration and the development of important skills in a wider school community.
