Pupil and Sports Premium
What is Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium is allocated to schools for children from low-income families who are currently known to be eligible for free school meals (FSM) and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months. In addition, Pupil Premium (Ever Six) is funding for children who have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any point in their primary education. There is also a premium for children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces.
The DfE states that it is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent as they recognise that we are, ‘best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility’. (DfE April 2012
